I’ve had a conspiracy theory rolling around in my head lately, and here it is.

Mike Bloomberg is 84 years old and Donald Trump is about to complete his second presidential term. 

What would I do if I had significant ties to New York, had spent 8 years systematically looting the federal reserve for unprecedented personal gain, wanted unfettered access to the world’s largest trading platform, couldn’t get enough media attention and was on a single minded crusade to de-wokify the democratic agenda. 

Well I’d probably buy a billion dollar company with international reach whose bread and butter was markets and the media, perhaps a company currently owned by a distasteful liberal who may soon begin experiencing diminished intellectual capacity and whose heirs I may be in a position to exploit to make the deal.

Now, how many more wars do I need to start in order to fund it?
